If such crimes are in fact committed in defense of Israel then the long term stain on Israel's legitimacy and respectability as a nation would be great. Any precaution against either the willful or inadvertent commission of such crimes is the duty of citizens in a democracy. Whatever the cause, some actions are surely beyond the pale in the recognized laws of the international community. Thank you.
